Thomas Dillon Blue Birds Exhibit A, I painted this 20' X 16' blue bird painting on canvas in the spirit of Conte which to me meant a medieval or stucco surface with acrylic mediums blended with a slight blue, green, and an aqua surrounding behind the male and female birds. There is a base of a taupe, amber with the touch of white. The back ground is in a mix with golden acrylic, modeling paste and crackle in an abstract texture which is my of idea of an Italian Conte effect. I designed and constructed the frame in a floating frame method; which is handmade and I painted it off white, gold, and black with a white foam core back covering that is recessed behind the side molding frame. I'm the orignal auther of this work.
