Thomas Dillon was born in Bay Shore, NY, lived in the metro New York area, and now resides in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He started painting with his mother early in life, which established the foundation for his work. He went on to study the works and methods of established artists such as M.C. Escher, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albrecht Durer, and Van Gogh.
Thomas shares, “I have no formal training or education other than my own personal studies and talent.” Thomas’ work has been published in books, newspapers, magazines, and other print and social media, and has been chosen by profit and nonprofit businesses for advertising and awareness campaigns. Much of his art is displayed in collections and several art galleries in the region and has been sought after throughout his artistic career.
Thomas is a freelance artist, doing commission work such as family, pet, and self-portraits, which have won admiration and praise. His chosen subject matter varies from contemporary, surreal, and figurative work. Most recently, his ideas were selected to be included in the Snowmen of Stroudsburg, PA – large as life-size 3-D sculptures placed throughout the downtown area.
